Baby “Tahoe” is an orphaned female cub that was brought to Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care in mid-April. She’s not quite ready to be outside in their bear enclosure, so we got to see her up close and personal as she explored her surroundings…

Capturing Waterfalls from the Ground and Air…
This morning I got out to Glen Alpine Falls just south of Fallen Leaf Lake near Lake Tahoe. If you haven’t been there and are ever in the area, put it on your Tahoe to-do list…you can drive right to it. I was fortunate to have the whole area to myself and I spent about an hour getting shots from the air and from the ground…check it out!
Where’s the Carson Valley Rider now?
First Tracks Productions has been working on a fun social media video series for the Carson Valley Visitor’s Authority. To kick off the campaign, we produced a video searching for a “Carson Valley Rider” – someone who could really showcase all that Carson Valley has to offer. Once the Rider was found, we introduced her (and her horse) and set off for adventure… So far, we’ve hung out with Elvis, had a beer at Nevada’s oldest bar and gone snowboarding. Check it out:
Summerfest Concert Series at Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe Summerfest is a world-class celebration of the arts that enriches the cultural, educational, and economic vitality of the Lake Tahoe Basin. Our quest is to provide extraordinary music, art, theatre, and seminars to local, national, and international audiences. This was a tough one to shoot as it was hard not to just relax and enjoy the amazing music and experience in front of me…
I Believe I can Fly…First Tracks Productions’ Aerial Reel
Sometimes getting the shot isn’t all about setting up cameras on tripods or POV shots from a helmet or pole…Sometimes it’s about getting an even more unique perspective. Hiring a full-size helicopter for the day is great if you have the budget. If you don’t, no worries. Getting shots from above is something First Tracks can assist you with.
And, the best part? We don’t charge for aerial filming if you’ve booked us for a project. We’ll work with you and make the determination if a project can benefit from aerial shots and if they can be done in a safe manner. If the case is yes, and often it is, we’ll be happy to get some airtime for you. Drop us a line with any questions!
30 Seconds of Fall…
Winter and Summer are what the Tahoe area is most well-known for, but Fall is a pretty amazing time too. Mountain Biking, Fly Fishing, and taking in the Fall colors among the wildlife…not too shabby. We put together this 30-second clip to showcase Fall is just as good a time visit Tahoe as the beach days of summer and the pow days of winter. Check it out:
