Sometimes getting the shot isn’t all about setting up cameras on tripods or POV shots from a helmet or pole…Sometimes it’s about getting an even more unique perspective. Hiring a full-size helicopter for the day is great if you have the budget. If you don’t, no worries. Getting shots from above is something First Tracks can assist you with.
And, the best part? We don’t charge for aerial filming if you’ve booked us for a project. We’ll work with you and make the determination if a project can benefit from aerial shots and if they can be done in a safe manner. If the case is yes, and often it is, we’ll be happy to get some airtime for you. Drop us a line with any questions!
The All Women Sport Camp kicked off 3 years ago and this great event keeps getting bigger and better. Specialized is now on board at the title sponsor and the women who take part have the opportunity to work with some of the top instructors in their fields including Marla Streb – former X-Games and World DH champion and recent inductee in to the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame. Check out some of what went down during a beautiful weekend at Norhtstar at Tahoe, on Lake Tahoe and on the road up to Donner Summit…
Winter and Summer are what the Tahoe area is most well-known for, but Fall is a pretty amazing time too. Mountain Biking, Fly Fishing, and taking in the Fall colors among the wildlife…not too shabby. We put together this 30-second clip to showcase Fall is just as good a time visit Tahoe as the beach days of summer and the pow days of winter. Check it out:
Carson Valley, Nevada is a pretty special place and to help spread the word, the Visitor’s Authority created a dream-job…An opportunity for one lucky individual to take advantage of and tell stories about all the things you can do there. First Tracks Productions came on board to help create the campaign launch video. To find out how you can apply, check out the info on Visit Carson Valley’s site here and check out the video below!
Dylan and Ethan are a combined 15 years old. That’s about the age I started snowboarding. And, already, they’re doing some things I’ve never done (and never will do). That’s ok, it’s all about having fun anyway (that’s what I keep telling myself). First Tracks only got to shoot with Dylan and Ethan for one day this season, but they picked up a few shots here and there on their own and out at USASA Nationals (where they both made the podium) and we put together these fun edits for them – check it out!
The Ragnar 24 hour trail relay came to Sierra at Tahoe recently and we put together this highlight video of the action. This was a really fun event and a great example of what First Tracks can do with even a small budget. Anthony was a one-person crew this day shooting the photos toward the beginning of the video as well as all of the video (including the aerial shots). See what 24 hours looks like in 1.5 minutes:
The 4th was a great time in Tahoe. Part of the fun for us involved fireworks and mountain bikes – not together. Though, the thought of two people riding at each-other with roman candles is intriguing and something I expect to see on a reality show in the near future, our capturing of these things occurred at different times over the holiday weekend. Thanks to Amy and Ben from TAMBA (Tahoe Area Mountain Bike Association) for being willing models. And, thanks to Tahoe South and all parties involved for putting on such an amazing fireworks display.
